TBAISD Farm to School and Taste the Local Difference hosted a Spring Pop-Up Market at Mill Creek Elementary to kick off the summer season. Vendors from our fall pop-up markets joined by a few new faces set up stands outside the school. Kids shopped around with their class and sampled tomatoes, cucumbers, chutney, bagel bites, and honey sticks. We also had bee based bath and body products, repurposed aprons and bags, and garden plants for the kids to shop for. Taste the Local Difference gave out local food guides, growth calendars of fruits and veggies in MI, and Tater Tat vegetable tattoos. This market had us excited for all the amazing Michigan summer fruits and vegetables to come. Remember to support your local farmers and producers!
